Microscope Technology
The use of operating microscope technology means that our endodontists are able to get a detailed look at the work they are doing during all phases of your endodontic treatment. The additional magnification and optic illumination allow them to work with great precision and see small details allowing them to more accurately diagnose treatment.
Digital X-ray
Digital Radiography uses a digital image capture device. This equipment exposes patients to much less radiation. In fact, digital x-rays use up to 90 percent less radiation than conventional film. With digital x-rays we can immediately view images on a computer screen allowing the patient to better understand and follow treatment.
Cone Beam (CS 8100 3D)
In addition to digital x-rays, our endodontists may use cone beam computed tomography (CBCT), if needed. Cone Beam technology provides a 3D digital tomographic view. A traditional x-ray is only two-dimensional. With the 3D Cone Beam, the doctor is able to get a full 360 degree view of the tooth and all surrounding areas. A single scan produces a wide variety of views and angles that allows for a more precise evaluation.
